Hi, I am Mackenzie Fay

I've always had a creative heart. For years, that creativity found its home in computer programming, but eventually I realized I wanted something that pulled me away from the screen and out into the world. Photography became that outlet. What started as a quiet curiosity quickly grew into a passion for documenting people, places, machines, and moments in a way that feels authentic and lasting.

Based in Colorado, I work across portrait, event, automotive, motorsports, and creative photography, using both digital and film formats to create images with character and purpose. Whether I'm photographing the intensity of a race, the energy of a live event, the personality of a vehicle, or a fleeting human moment, I strive to create images that tell a story and capture the atmosphere of the experience.

My connection to motorsports runs deeper than photography. I grew up around the race track while my family competed in stock car racing, an experience that sparked a lifelong passion for the sport and gave me an appreciation for the people, machines, and moments that make racing special.

My approach combines technical precision with a deep appreciation for light, composition, color, and timing. From fast-paced action to quiet candid moments, I focus on creating photographs that feel natural, engaging, and true to the subject.

Photography is ultimately about preserving experiences and the emotions connected to them. My goal is to create images that people can return to years later and instantly remember how that moment felt, whether I'm shooting on a modern digital camera or a roll of film.
